MCCAIN 'TARS' OBAMA?

Don't mean to bore you here, but a little background is useful to make the point.  The term "tar and feather" was a form of vigilante justice.  Hot tar was painted or poured on the victim and while the substance was still hot, the victim would then be rolled on a pile of feathers.  Not very pretty.

The earliest known attacks of "tarring and feathering in the United States date to the mid 1700's, though in some areas abroad these practices were incorporated into the penal system.  All known victims were "white" until the mid 1800's to early 1900's, and it then became infamous as a "black" injustice. 

The term "tar" is specifically meant to conjure up images of "black" injustice committed by "whites."

In today's NYTimes Political Blog article McCain Campaign Says Obama Is Playing the ‘Race Card,’ written by Michael Cooper and Michael Powell, the term "tar" is used to describe what these writers believe is being done to Obama. 

The McCain campaign’s decision to make the charge now that Mr. Obama was playing the “race card” comes as it has adopted a far more aggressive, negative posture towards Mr. Obama in recent days, trying to tar him as arrogant, out of touch and unprepared for the presidency with a series of statements by Mr. McCain and a series of negative ads – some of which have been condemned as misleading.

According to the two Mikes, McCain makes a "charge" while being "aggressive, negative," and is "trying to tar."  And if this hasn't convinced you yet that the accusation of race baiting is false, the two Mikes add for good measure that some of McCain's ads "have been condemned as misleading."  Surely, that ought to do it. 

Never mind opinions based on fact proving Obama HAS indeed been "arrogant," IS "out of touch," and IS woefully"unprepared for the presidency," and that's just from the liberal left. 

Sheesh.  Is a little honest reporting too much to ask?  Apparently.  These guys are in denial or in the tank...Mmmmm, let me guess.  

And so we have two more deserving winners of "The Bird Award."  Viva la Pajaro!!!! 

Ouch... My First Complaint.

Some have emailed me saying I've strayed.  Though the articles are of value, I'm not keeping with the theme of this blog.  True.  I've gotten off the path.  I will create another blog or a special area on this one in the near future to deal with my missteps.  There is so much out there, so much I feel passionate about, that I can't seem to keep to one tract.  I'm learning -- give me time.

Now, hand me the tissues please.

Open Letter to Maggie

Many thanks Maggie for cross-posting.  I know I'm the new kid on the block here, especially with respect to Paul Ray - LionHeart.  Many of you have indeed been banging that drum, sounding the alarm long before I stumbled into your neighborhood.  (And, I’m so glad I did find you all -- I was ecstatic to learn I’m not completely insane (grin).)

When I read LionHeart’s story and started looking into it, I was more than appalled, more than angry, more than disgusted.  I actually came face to face with the reality that the old saying “It can’t happen here” is totally erroneous.  It can and it is.  A “reality check” like that shocks the hell out of you. 

I oppose inciting hatred, but as the video made clear, authorities are only regulating who’s doing it.  As blogging sites and videos are removed for “suspicion of inciting racial hatred against Muslims” we seldom notice… how can we?  Most of them are not up long enough for the world to see.

I’ve asked myself, what can I do?  My only thought right now is to find someone with organizational skills, blogging skills and media access – a tall order.  Perhaps, as a group, we can find that someone if we keep banging that drum.

I’ve gone to Real Clear Politics, but have no idea where to post, who to contact there, but I will keep trying.  I’m also heading into the comment sections of different newspapers and leaving off-topic info.  I ask you all to duplicate these efforts.  We’ve got nothing to lose except a piece of Freedom if we don’t.

LionHeart is not defeated as long as we keep his story alive, for in doing so, we’re doing our part to keep Freedom alive.  It’s what our men and women in uniform of today and of yesteryear deserve from us – action on the home front.  They’re not firing off a few bullets and going home, and neither should we. 

If LionHeart has taught us anything, it’s that the preservation of Freedom is a never-ending battle on every front.  And we cannot let Freedom die without us.

Calling All Bloggers: "Capitulation To Islam is Inevitable."

I'm hoping other bloggers -- no, I pray other bloggers will pick-up this story and drum the hell out of it; bloggers better suited than I to prepare the rest of us for the battle on the horizon.  Let our cry be: "We Will Not Let Freedom Die Without Us At Her Side."

This story is about one blogger in particular, Paul Ray, and what's happening to him and to our brothers and sisters across the pond.  The politically-correct, multiculturalism, British thought-police arrested Ray for blogging about radical Muslims who were promoting jihadism.  They arrested Ray for allegedly inciting racial hatred - not the radical imams.  His specific crime?  Well, he called the radicals who advocated the beheading of infidels - meaning us -- 'savages.'  For the life of me, I wouldn't know what else to call them either.

Capitulation to Islam is becoming a reality, and it's also closer to home than you think.  From what I now understand, there are other similar instances that occurred here in the United States, which I hope bloggers across the Internet will investigate. 

First, take a look at what's going on in England.  See anything familiar? 

The [British] government has made so-called "hate speech," illegal, but it also depends on who is doing the hating. When one group of British citizens protested the Mohammed cartoons at the Danish embassy in London in 2006, they expressed their allegiance to Osama bin Laden, and called for beheadings and nuclear attacks against Denmark Britain and America. Yet British police arrested no one, until there was a public uproar.

Compare that to when Britain's Channel 4 Dispatches program exposed violent rhetoric in local mosques. British police initially decided to charge - not the radical imams who were promoting violence and bigotry - but the news program that did the report, for allegedly stirring up racial hatred.

For now, it suffices to scream a new battle cry in unison, "We will not let Freedom die without us at her side."  Those are fighting words, my friends, and perhaps I could even be arrested for writing and promoting them.  But, I was born in New Hampshire and my "Live Free or Die" spirit came with me.

Blogging Can Get You Arrested, Never Mind Killed

Where is Paul Ray?  You may never have heard of him before - I know I didn't.  His story wasn't newsworthy enough for our MSM to report on - besides, why alert you to the possibility that reporting on Islam can not only get you killed by radical Muslims, but now-a-days can get you arrested and thrown in prison.

He Spake and the Tribes of NATO Loosed the Caveats

H/T to Audacity of Hypocrisy and Rush Limbaugh.  I heard Rush say today that he wished he had written this.  Don't we all?  I pondered over a favorite quotation, and finally settled on this one: by Gerard Baker for TimeOnline.

From there he went forth to Mesopotamia where he was received by the great ruler al-Maliki, and al-Maliki spake unto him and blessed his Sixteen Month Troop Withdrawal Plan even as the imperial warrior Petraeus tried to destroy it.

Black Skin or Thin Skin?

"Welcome to our world," writes Sophia A. Nelson of the Washington Post, as she describes how the "sliming of Michelle Obama" echoes the  experience of many professional black women, like herself.  In her Sunday, July 20, 2008 OpEd piece, Black. Female. Accomplished. Attacked, Nelson writes of the terrific hardships Mrs. Obama has had to endure - allegedly because of her skin color - while on the campaign trail. 

What else could it be but because Mrs. Obama is black?   She's had to face recent "campaign travails" such as "being called unpatriotic for a single offhand remark, dubbed a black radical because of something she wrote more than 20 years ago and plastered with the crowning stereotype: "angry black woman." 

AND THEN, to top it all off, "being forced to undergo a politically mandated 'makeover' to soften her image and make her more palatable to mainstream America." 

Oh, the senseless hardship and cruelty!!!   I need a hanky.

Apparently, this "is nothing new to professional African American women."  Oooh noooooo, ah ah.  They've been brutalized by the way white people look at them before.  You know those looks, the ones where they're "being looked at, as black women, through a different lens from our white counterparts, who are portrayed as kinder, gentler souls who somehow deserve to be loved and valued more than we do."

Nelson actually digs back 157 years ago in order to equate Sojourner Truth, a former slave, abolitionist, preacher and advocate of women's rights, with the agony of today's black women.  Nelson had the audacity to write, "Her [Sojourner Truth] ringing question, demanding why black women weren't accorded the same privileges as their white counterparts, still sums up the African American woman's dilemma today." 

Nelson should bong herself over the head with a "get real" stick, and pretty damn hard. 

Please, somebody, tell me that black women haven't become this whiney-ass insecure?  

Tell me that this Nelson person is an isolated case?  Somebody?  Please?

For purposely race baiting, for disrespecting the memory of Sojourner Truth by comparing her trials with such petty-ass garbage as "being looked at," for even suggesting America's opinion of Mrs. Obama should NOT be based on the quality of character reflected by her words and deeds but instead  on the color of her skin, today's "Bird Award" goes to Sophia A. Nelson, who has shamefully earned it.

Daniel and Jennifer Loven, two liberal writers for the Associated Press and who cheerfully sparred with decency during their recent stint as Obituary columnists, ironically had their own souls die a gruesome death -- though it may take them time to notice -- after AP published their column Jul 12, 2008 on the passing of Tony Snow

Their epitaph reads:

New York Times Stuck On Stupid

The New York Times headline reads:  "Bush, in Shift, Accepts Idea of Iraq Timeline."  From reading the headline and the article, one might assume President Bush changed his mind on something, right?  Wrong.   

"The president and prime minister agreed that the goals would be based on continued improving conditions on the ground and not an arbitrary date for withdrawal," said White House press secretary Dana Perino in a statement e-mailed to reporters.

News flash to the NYTimes, read your e-mail --

These "goals," such as the resumption of Iraqi security control in their cities and provinces and the further reduction of U.S. combat forces from Iraq, are the same goals as always, and are in fact the "timetable" as such. 

The NYTimes article goes on to say that "Mr. Bush" -- meaning, I presume, the President of the United States -- our President -- "has long derided timetables for troop withdrawals" and has now at least agreed to a "notional" one. 

I could be wrong here, but this war in Iraq has been around for a number of years now, wouldn't you say?  You'd think the NYTimes would get the "notion" by now of what is meant by a responsible troop withdrawal.  But noooooo.  A timetable without specific dates is front page news.  Incredible!

So, today's "Bird Award" goes to the New York Times for flaunting sheer stupidity.

ABC Spreads Obama Rumors

The recent show of moral indignation by the main stream media over "rumors" about their chosen candidate is kind of like peeing in a toilet as opposed to a pool.

In this, my first real piece on daily insults to our intelligence, I give you ABC, and ask you, What do you get reading today's article on their blog besides an upset stomach?  In "Hearing-Gate Exposed!" we learn that Obama's committee hearing record attendance on Capitol Hill is better than McCain's with respect to oversight hearings on Afghanistan.  That's what it says!  "McCain missed them all," while Obama attended a "full" hearing.

How many of you know it's a "designer piece" -- in other words, false; that ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf went to great lengths to rearrange facts for the deliberate purpose of creating the appearance of accuracy?  Now, that's talent.  It only took 649 words to reconstruct bull from actual data.  He's definitely earned the "Bird Award."  Amazing!

The facts are, with respect to the specific committees mentioned in the ABC article and from which Z. Byron Wolf acquired the information:  John McCain missed 691 of 4057 votes (17%) since Feb 4, 1993, while Barack Obama missed 268 of 1240 votes (22%) since Jan 6, 2005. 

That's 17% in FIFTEEN years for McCain, and 22% in THREE years for Obama.  (Sigh) If only we Americans could read, write AND do math...  Oh, wait!  Yes, we can!

So, to ABC, I give you...

Bush Says Drill, Drill, Drill — and Oil Drops $9!

In a dramatic move yesterday President Bush removed the executive-branch moratorium on offshore drilling.  Today, at a news conference, Bush repeated his new position, and slammed the Democratic Congress for not removing the congressional moratorium on the Outer Continental Shelf and elsewhere.  Crude-oil futures for August delivery plunged $9.26, or 6.3 percent, almost immediately as Bush was speaking, bringing the barrel price down to $136.

Now isn’t this interesting?

Democrats keep saying that it will take 10 years or longer to produce oil from the offshore areas.  And they say that oil prices won’t decline for at least that long.  And they, along with Obama and McCain, bash so-called oil speculators.  And today we had a real-world example as to why they are wrong.  All of them. Reid, Pelosi, Obama, McCain — all of them.

Traders took a look at a feisty and aggressive George Bush and started selling the market well before a single new drop of oil has been lifted.  What does this tell us?  Well, if Congress moves to seal the deal, oil prices will probably keep on falling.  That’s the way traders work. They discount the future. Psychology and expectations can turn on a dime.

The congressional ban on offshore drilling expires September 30, so that becomes a key date.  A new report from Wall Street research house Sanford C. Bernstein says that California actually could start producing new oil within one year if the moratorium were lifted.  The California oil is under shallow water and already has been explored.  Drilling platforms have been in place since before the moratorium. They’re talking about 10 billion barrels worth off the coast of California.

There’s also a “gang of 10” in the Senate, five Republicans and five Democrats, that is trying to work a compromise deal on lifting the moratorium.  So it’s possible a lot of action on this front could occur much sooner than people seem to think.

So I repeat: Drill, drill, drill.  Deregulate, decontrol, and unleash the American energy industry.  Those hated traders will then keep selling oil as the laws of supply and demand and free markets keep working.

Bravo for Bush. Bravo for the traders.

Obama Avoids Fort Hood Debate

We'd like to know what incredibly important event Barack Obama has scheduled on August 11 that prevents him from participating in a debate at Texas' Fort Hood. 

The townhall event, sponsored by an array of military support groups, hopes to offer the 6,000-strong audience (predominantly veterans and military families) an opportunity to directly question their next commander-in-chief.  John McCain is ready and willing, but so far the Obama just can't find an opening. 

We wonder what scares him most -- a face-to-face matchup with McCain, potential heckles, or simply not being in front of his customary mass gathering of zombies.  Whatever the explanation, Obama looks weak in front an audience that needs to respect him as their commander. Not a good start.

Obama Claims Victimhood for Extremist Islam

If there was any doubt how Barack Obama views America on the world stage, his own words now make his position deadly clear.
Obama's July 13th statement defies words. Is he ignorant, a sociopath, or a hardcore Muslim-leaning leftist? The details:
Obama went public and placed unabashed blame on "the West" for Islamic extremism. In an interview on July 13th with CNN's Foreign Affairs Analyst, Fareed Zakaria asked:

[ZAKARIA]: But how do you view the problem within Islam? As somebody who saw it in Indonesia ... the largest Muslim country in the world?

Obama reminisced about the years he lived in Indonesia (late 1960's, early 1970's) and then calmly offered up a very firm opinion about "the problem with Islam."

[Obama] And what's interesting is, you can see some correlation between the economic crash during the Asian financial crisis [1997], where about a third of Indonesia's GDP was wiped out, and the acceleration of these Islamic extremist forces.

It isn't to say that there is a direct correlation, but what is absolutely true is that there has been a shift in Islam that I believe is connected to the failures of governments and the failures of the West to work with many of these countries, in order to make sure that opportunities are there, that there's bottom-up economic growth.

Just to be clear: Obama states unequivocally that "the West" caused a "shift in Islam," and the "shift" caused by the Free World is the "problem with Islam."

Here are reminders of the "problem with Islam," 4 of which occurred before the Asian financial crash.

April 1983 - U.S. Embassy Bombing in Beirut, Lebanon: 80 died - 17 Americans, 32 Lebanese embassy employees and 14 passersby. Islamic Jihad Organization claimed responsibility.

October 1983 - Beirut U.S. Marine Corps Barracks Bombing: 241 U.S. Marines were murdered and 80 were seriously injured when Islamic factions trucked-in the equivalent of 12,000 tons of TNT, and blew-up American military barracks in Lebanon. Islamic Jihad Organization claimed responsibility, however, Hezbollah - organized, trained and funded by Iran's Revolutionary Guard, is believed to be the perpetrator of the attack. In February 2008, a truck bombing in Damascus, Syria erased Imad Mughniyah from the world's civil societies. Better known to Americans as Hajj, Mughniyah was instrumental in the formation of Hezbollah and was always among the heads of the snake.

1985 - TWA Flight 847 (an American-owned airline) was hijacked by Hezbollah. The airliner was taken over in Athens, then flown to Beirut, Lebanon where it released a few passengers, refueled and continued to Algeria - again releasing a few passengers. Navy Diver, Robert Stethem was identified as U.S. military - beaten, shot and his body dumped on the Beirut tarmac. Over a period of 16 days, passengers were terrorized and flown back and forth between Beirut and Algiers before the whole horrible terrorist act was over.
While cowards commandeered the airplane, a heroic flight attendant, Uli Derickson, hid the passports of Jewish passengers and used her own credit card to purchase jet fuel.

February 1993 - First World Trade Tower Bombing: Terrorism arrived on American soil. 6 dead, over 1,000 injured. Conspiracy theories still fly, but what we do know to be true is that the perpetrators were Muslim. They intended to bring down both World Trade Towers, the plot was enormous - this was no small bombing event. It left a 95' wide crater, multiple stories up and down destroyed. The mastermind, Ramzi Yousef, planned simultaneous bombings of U.S. aircraft. He was captured by Pakistani forces in an Al-Qaeda safehouse in Islamabad, Pakistan, two years after the bombing. He was tried and sentenced in an American court and is serving a life sentence in Colorado, supposedly in solitary confinement. The taxpayers get to pay for his keep and speculate how many terrorist gangs he has organized, and how many apostles he has gained, while in "solitary confinement." His uncle is Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, a member of Al-Qaeda and a close association of Osama bin Laden. Yousef and his uncle are both Muslims.

October 2000 - USS Cole is bombed: 17 dead American sailors, 39 injured. It is believed that Al-Qaeda and the Sudenese government worked together to assault the USS Cole as it refueled in Yemen. According to the CIA Factbook, "Military regimes favoring Islamic-oriented governments have dominated [Sudanese] national politics since independence from the UK in 1956.

September 2001 - American Airlines Flight 11 hijacked and crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center: 92 passengers, crew and Islamic terrorists dead.

United Airlines Flight 175 hijacked and crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. 56 passengers, crew and Islamic terrorists dead.

American Airlines Flight 77 - 9:37 am: Hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon. 64 passengers, crew and Islamic terrorists dead. 125 dead in the Pentagon.

American Airlines Flight 93 - Hijacked and crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. 44 passengers, crew and Islamic terrorists dead.

A total of 2974 persons are considered dead due to the September 11, 2001 attacks. How many died in each separate building? There seem to be no statistics "by building." I think we know why. Are the 19 terrorists in this count? I don't know the answer. 24 persons are considered missing.

Along with the North and South World Trade Towers, 5 additional buildings in the complex were destroyed and three others were destroyed or were beyond repair: St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, The Deutsche Bank Building, and the Borough of Manhattan Community College's Fiterman Hall.

The "Asian Financial crises" (recovering began within 9 months) was multi-layered, but to offer it as an excuse for Islamic terrorism is unconscionable.

As we head to the November election, let us be ever mindful of not only those Americans who have died at the hands of the "government" of Islam, but the thousands injured who will never be able to forget for even one day. Let us remember with certainty, that Obama blames American for Muslim Rage.

Something Very Un-American Is Going On.

I never thought I’d say this, but Benito Mussolini had it right: “Newspapers were invented to change public opinion.”  And like Mussolini's reasons for using the media, the cause for its use in the United States today is as threatening.  What once was believed to be mere bias, or leftist propaganda, or perhaps unintended inaccuracies, is now too wide-spread to continue to ignore its effect on our system of government as coincidental to that of Marxist socialism.  Hear me out, and please, somebody, prove me wrong.

By way of example, the Washington Post is "typical" main stream media.  Ironically, in an article about patriotism, July 1, pg A01, Obama Fiercely Defends His Patriotism, they reveal something very un-American.  It's not so much what they printed as it is why.   

I'll begin with their use of subliminal messaging.  Between the Washington Post staff writers reporting on Obama's speech on patriotism and Obama himself in his speech, Obama’s name was linked to presidents Harry S. Truman, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.  McCain on the other hand was linked to George W. Bush, after this newspaper did all it could to change public opinion about Bush’s presidency for the worse.  Evidently, in the view of the main stream media, readers are too stupid to know about subliminal messages.  And evidently they're right with respect to 18 to 24 year-olds.  All these new voters know is Obama is great presidential material.  Wonder where they get that from? 

More disturbingly in the same article there’s a statement that Obama's patriotism is questioned "especially in white, working-class regions."  It goes on to suggest that any questioning of Obama’s patriotism is rooted in the civic rights movement or some other cultural war.  So, don’t even dare look at the teachings of Black Liberation Theology, a Marist brand of socialism disguised as a religion that teaches the destruction of the white enemy by all means available and to which Obama subscribed and supported for the past twenty-odd years.  Instead, the main stream media wants us to believe that any investigation into Obama’s prior loyalties would be a racist act.

And of course the article points to "false rumors," which apparently only petty conservative bloggers are spreading on the Internet about Obama.  The staff writers make the ridiculous assertion that certain facts, such as the trivial thingies about the flag pin and not reciting the Pledge of Allegiance or not placing his hand over his heart during the playing of the entire national anthem are merely "false rumors."  Never mind that they were all once true until voters started mentioning it – they're not true now, so now they're false.  These are merely clues, hints, symptoms of the true character within, but pay no attention to them, and if you do, you're small-minded. 

The main stream media has not bothered to report on the political creed to which Obama has pledged his loyalty over the past twenty years.  The last time I checked, the Pope was not on the Internet spreading “rumors.”  Pope Benedict XVI has condemned Liberation Theology, calling it “radically Marxist” and that it's a “new interpretation of Christian reality.”  It distorts the Christian faith, reduces it to politico-social liberation praxis (action), pitting class against class, Marxism against Capitalism, it’s a “bloody political revolution.”  Sound familiar? ( Pope Benedict aka Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger.)  

And then we have the Communist Party backing Obama, actually boasting how their "Activists from Illinois were immersed in the campaign to elect Barack Obama to the U.S. Senate,” which you can read for yourself right off their Web site.  This too is not news worthy.

Are you getting the picture?  Loyalty to the United States is THE most crucial concern of every era throughout our history, but especially in this day and age.  Yet our media is doing all it can to deny the American people their “right to know” where Obama's loyalties may lie, while waging an all-out campaign to discourage us from questioning, labeling those who seek answers about his background as shallow racist.  Again, sound familiar?

Given the fact that the Communist Party will back anyone who they believe will aid them in the destruction of Capitalism, and given the fact that for past twenty years Obama has supported and subscribed to a political creed designed to create havoc and overthrow our system of government, why is the main stream media so engaged in electing him president? 

Because....   Something very un-American is going on.  If you have a better explanation, let's hear it.

Young Liberals Easily Learn Right Values

I thought this was noteworthy as it's along the same lines as Obama's Senate Bill 2433, the Global Poverty Act.  He could do well if only he could reason as quickly as a four-year-old.   

This was emailed to me by the Conservative Truth.  It had been submitted by a subscriber Vladimir Alexandrov from Palm Beach, Florida:  It goes like this...

Four-year-old Catherine had decided that she wanted to be President one day. A Conservative asked her what her first act would be should she become President. Her proud Liberal parents observed the conversation.

Catherine replied, "I would give houses to all the homeless people."

The Conservative replied, "That is a worthy goal you have there Catherine," as her parents beamed.

"But," the Conservative friend continued, "you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and clean up the dog poop in the back yard and I will pay you $5 dollars. Then we can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $5 dollars to use for a new house."

Catherine thought that over for a second, and then replied, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and clean up the dog poop himself, and you can pay him the $5 dollars?"

Welcome to the Republican Party, Catherine.

Obama's Global Poverty Tax Bill up for Vote in Days

The American Thinker's Lee Cary says that according to Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison's office, Obama's Senate Bill 2433 will come to the floor for vote soon, with as little as week for Senators to prepare for it.

This hushed bill will likely be "sprung" as you and I attempt to catch-up after celebrating this Nation's Independence Day.

Investor's Business Daily put it this way:

By adopting the Millennium goals in 2000, the U.N. escalated its demands to impose international taxes. Specifically, the Millennium called for a "currency transfer tax," a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources," a "royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection — oil, natural gas, coal," "fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels."

It doesn't bother U.N. sycophants that most U.S. handouts go into the hands of corrupt dictators who hate us and vote against us in the U.N., and that only 30% of our foreign aid ever reaches the poor. U.N. bureaucrats accuse the U.S. of being "stingy" in its handouts to underdeveloped countries.

There is much more to the Millennium goals than merely extorting more money from U.S. taxpayers. The goals set forth a comprehensive plan to put the United States under U.N. global governance.

Losing Sovereignty [meaning the United States of America] - These goals include a "standing peace force" (i.e. a U.N. standing army), a "U.N. Arms register" of all small arms and light weapons, "peace education" covering "all levels from preschool through university," and "political control of the global economy." The goals call for implementing all U.N. treaties that the United States has never ratified, all of which set up U.N. monitoring committees to compromise American sovereignty.

To achieve this level of control over U.S. domestic law, the plan calls for "strengthening the United Nations for the 21st century" by "eliminating" the veto and permanent membership in the Security Council. The goal is to reduce U.S. influence to one out of 192 nations, so we would have merely the same vote as Cuba.

The Global Poverty Act would be a giant step toward the Millennium goal of global governance and international taxes on Americans. Tell your senators to kill this un-American bill.
